Note: This is the first part of a fic by Becc Carter and while there's a link to a second part of the story on the page, the link itself is broken - that's the reason for the[Lost+Found] in the title of the topic. This first part can easily stand on its own, but I really would love to read the rest of the story. So far I tried to search for the missing page through the Internet Archive, by checking the pages available fortalitha.net.nz andgeocities.com/talitha_1013/ , and also check at Scientific Minds where Becc Carter has a profile. I also tried checking other places like Fanfiction.net but with not luck.
Does anyone know if this story was completed...

Wow, I'm surprised that people forgot about recommending this series by Abyssinia and Pepper. I had read previously "Terrible Two" but never actually got around to read all the stories until today.

Sometime after I saw "Ripple Effect" and read some fics revolving around the possible alternative realities that were featured in the episode, I wrote some short notes about some possibilities. However, none of these notes ever became more than that.
Today I was going over some backup files and found the file where I wrote them and since there's a lot of great angst writers here I decided that I didn't have anything to lose by posting it here.

Once again Michael Shanks played Daniel Jackson in the latest episode of Stargate Universe, "Subversion". It was a great episode, I would probably even say that it was the best episode of the series so far. I was very suspicious of the new series and while they still have some elements that bother me it has started to grow on me.

Thanks! I'm kind of blown away (and more than a little confused), but I'm trying not to be weird about it...

Looks like their voting is now open and I must have read it wrong before, because their website now says voting ends on March 20 instead of starting. So go check out the stories and especially all of the fanastic fanart! Wow!!

As an update on what I've been doing lately, I've managed a bit of writing on one of my larger works in progress. I've added about 2,000 words (six pages or so). It's not much, but it's still more than I've been writing lately, so ...well, that's something, no matter how rough-going it is... Right?

Seems to be quiet around here, so thought I'd offer up a suggestion. How about we try a Sam/Daniel version of StargateFic100? For the uninitiated, StargateFic100 a fic challenge on LiveJournal, where there are 100 prompts, and you write a fic for each one. Obviously, it'd be a back burner project, otherwise you'd go nuts. Also, you don't necessarily have to be on LJ or join the comm to take part.

I've got about a third or so the way through and put it on hiatus for now. However, I've found it quite inspirational. It's relatively easier to regularly write little snippets than feeling stressed about not feeling up to writing bigger projects.

The synopsis isn't entirely accurate now that the story's moved past that, but it's all fun (well, in my deluded little world anyhow). Who knew that the Changeling universe could be so much fun to write in?

Sam comes back from Atlantis. The team attends the extraction ceremony of the last Ba'al clone, but will this be their last adventure? Missing scenes and tags for Stargate Continuum. Sequel to What We Should Be Doing. SamDaniel CamVala TealcIshta JackSara

You don't have to have read the prequel to get it. Basically, so far, Cam and Vala are married, Sam and Daniel, and Jack and Sara are engaged; and Teal'c and Ish'ta are fighting. It's just a continuation of writing around canon that I've been doing since the second half of season 10 aired.

I have to agree with what Eventhorizon7 wrote in her review. The story was very engrossing and I was pretty happy seeing the Sam/Daniel ship. The original character was great and we got to know her better.

Well after saying that there isn't any new and good Sam/Daniel fiction out there, I find this. The story is called The Forgotten and it's on Fanfiction net. It's an action/adventure/romance and it is a wonderful read.

Go over there and read it, then leave the author a message because we need to keep this person writing.

It's actually inspired me to take a look at my stuff once more.

hey, it was nice to see your post thraesja.

Don't worry about the communication delay, children work to their own timetable and rest assured they get there eventually. My friend's daughter had the same problem, they had to go to speech therapy and although it was hard work for both parties involved it paid off and she is now a very talkative teenager.

One of my girl's was late with the whole potty training, staying dry thing and i thought that i was the worse mum in the world for not being able to put it right. That's when i realised that children do things in their own time and that it would be unlikely that she would hit adulthood and still be in a diaper! Once i figured that out ( and ignored all the mum's at mother and toddler group whose babies were so advance that they practically came out of the womb on a potty) both I and my daughter were more relaxed and it came about naturally...

oh that was so good. It encapsulates perfectly what goes on in the mind of the writer, but it is also the kind of thing that goes on in the mind of the beta too.

Hey EventHorizon (and anyone else who was wondering if I up and died),

Sorry I've been completely unresponsive for, um, apparently way more than a couple of months. I also haven't written anything at all. Well, I've tinkered with a Daniel-centric (surprise!) story a few times, but it's sadly gen and also sadly nowhere near complete. Amaranth hasn't even seen it yet.

Real life just kinda sucked me up. Work's been crazy and T-Fap has a communication delay, so most of anything I used to call spare time is taken up working on speech therapy stuff with him. By the time he's in bed the last thing I want to do is have anything to with the English language in any form.

And I have to admit I've kinda lost interest in fandom in general.

I will try to put a bit more effort into coming around here a little more often.

In Canada, the primary mode of winter transportation is dog sledding, followed closely by riding polar bears.

Okay, that's a lie. Everyone knows the polar bears are dying from the effects of climate change.

My parents dogsled regularly since they got their first husky about 14 years ago. Now they have 18 huskies, and this is the first time someone's been seriously injured. Minor and moderate injuries have occured in the past, but nothing requiring surgery.

She still doesn't remember what happened, but we've been able to piece things together - it seems she hit a tree because a trail was graded in the wrong direction. So when she around that turn, the sled went flying off the trail and into the trees. The grade has since been corrected, and it seems fine now.

But she now has a shiny metal plate and all of the pieces of her clavicle screwed into it so they can heal themselves, and she's home and feeling much better. I've been spending a lot of time up at the house (their house...

@EventHorizon7 -- new eps of Sanctuary are on Mondays @ 22:00 on ITV4. The season finale two-parter is this coming Monday... so I think that they're bound to repeat the season again as season 3 isn't due to hit anyone's screens til autumn.

Oh, I hear ya with the job impeding writing progress: it keeps happening whenever I find employment. I find, though, that it keeps me a little more focussed on what I want to write (well, for the brief periods when I'm not zonked, that is... ).

Goodness, that poor girl. lol, she probably wouldn't have minded so much if she'd had Daniel there.

oh gosh, sorry to hear about your mum. Hope she is okay and that she heals quickly. Will you have to be around to look after her? Dog sledding... is that a sport that she participates in or was it because she was having a go and it all went a little pear shaped?

Have to admit that dog sledding seems like a good idea what with the cold weather and the snow over here, but if you're likely to wind up in the hospital... maybe not.

I guess finding time to write is at a premium all round at the moment.

Hey guys, I'm here. Sorry for the silence lately - the last couple of weeks have seen me gearing up for a huge event for work (a Minister was down and everything) and then the day after the event (Saturday) my Mom had a collision with a tree while dog sledding. She has a pretty serious concussion and her left clavicle is broken in three pieces. She'll be in surgery either tomorrow or Wednesday to have a plate put in so they'll heal nicely without puncturing/collapsing her lung.

So...sorry for not being around. I really thought things would calm down after the event, but it seems they have instead calmed up.

I agree that there isn't too much S/D out there. A part of me thinks that the genre is dying a natural death, after all, it has been years since the show finished, but another part of me, the writer thinks that is just tosh and we are just being lazy.

I, like Amaranth have a ton of WIP's, some no where near posting, while other's probably need tinkering with. I'm having trouble finding time to write at the moment because I've finally managed to find a job and I spend all day on a computer. I therefore have little energy to use one when I get home, even though I got a new shiny laptop for xmas. Hopefully once thing settle...

I tell you what, shock of my life (or at least the day) when I logged in and looked at the top of the screen. I haven't logged in here since last April.

Anywho. I'm bored. There's not enough SD fic out there... and I don't want to have to read my own. *pout* It'll just remind me that I have too much time on my hands during this recession.

I think we should start poking Amaranth and Thrae... um, you know, in an inspirational/motivational sort of way. I know for a fact that Amaranth at least has a pile of WiPs, but she's funny (what? I'd like to see you try to reach over the Atlantic to give me a smack ).

Hi,

Wow! I guess I'm the first to post here in the new decade.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. Let's hope the new year brings some much needed Sam/Daniel fanfiction into our lives because guys I'm missing it terribly.

To all us writers... let's hope that inspiration strikes and that we can keep up the momentum for our stories. Let's all make a pledge to write at least something once a week, it doesn't have to be much, just a paragraph, but at least it would keep some of our projects moving along.
