This idea came to me as I was reading some comments about Daniel/Sha're's relation interaction during "Children of the Gods" and "Forever in a Day" and started remembering a meta and some prompts on the SD-thon forum that I read awhile back.

Basically the idea could be very shortly described in a prompt-fashion as: Season 3, Forever in a Day - What if it had been Sam who had followed Amaunet/Sha're into the tent and ultimately received Sha're's message?

Some stuff that writers should have in mind for the story (some sort of guidelines, if you will):

• Two different hallucinations/dreams: the first one where Sha're was killed by Teal'c and Daniel is dealing with her death; and the second where Sha're was rescued by the Tok'ra, while Daniel was in the infirmary, and she starts to adapt to life on Earth.
• Sha're asking Sam to help Daniel forgive Teal'c and look for her son.
• Sha're hinting that she is okay with Sam having feelings for Daniel and telling her to not be afraid to act on them.
• If you wish you can simply leave it at Sam/Daniel unrequited or UST - that way it will leave room for a sequel

Have in mind that Daniel was actually present during all the events of the hallucination that Sha're gave him, so the same should happen with Sam.

PS: Actually, looking back at what I just wrote I'm not sure if this is good enough to work as a story on its own. Nevertheless, I'm pressing the submit button.

Oh, I really really like this story idea—I'm a huge Sha're fan, and this fits perfectly into my idea of when Sam and Daniel should have hooked up in the series. But I'm not going to say I'll write it, because apart from being in the middle of writing a huge Stargate epic I've also taken on another challenge...but I'll definitely be keeping it in mind in case sudden inspiration strikes.

This does sound like a very good idea for a story or two, but i think the first one would have to be UST as Daniel would still be mourning Sha're's death. It has stirred the plot bunnies though.

Ooh. Sounds good. Not sure if I'll be able to do it what with juggling three WiPs atm, and being very bad at writing Sha're, but I'll think about it. Nice challenge, btw.
