Just thought of this one... and unfort. can't seem to begin to write it, but...

An exploration of the culture of Hanka, and how Cassie tries to stay true to her roots while on Earth... with help from our favourite twosome, of course.

Just was thinking about how we make sure to include Jaffa culture in some fics for Teal'c, and add some stuff... but Cassie always ends up as an all-American (despite being officially 'Canadian'). Ok, I'm guilty of doing that too, and realistically, as young as Cassie was when she was orphaned, she wouldn't have stuck much to traditions and stuff when she came to Earth... but what about when she got older, like her late teens? She might feel alienated or something what with not being Earth-born, and she might feel the need to reconnect with her roots. That kinda gets overlooked in ficcage... and for once, I would like to see it covered somewhere.

Hmm. Wonder if Cassie ever learned enough about 'Tor-on-to' (like, for example, how to pronounce it like a native) to pull off being from there. 'Cause, sadly for her, once her questionners are out of Grade Four, there's a chance quite a few of them will have visited the place and won't recall it as being alien enough to support her oddities.

lol. I read a fic ages ago where one of Cassie's classmates couldn't believe that Cassie knew nothing about figure skating, so she got her books and videos on the subject. Heh. Cassie was then hooked, and Sam and Janet ended up having to sit through a video. Can't remember much about the story, but I think it's up on Scientific Minds, probably.

Well, she'd've picked up things in no time with SG-1 hanging out with her.
