Just like to know what you guys think of the new spin off series?
Just in case there is anyone who hasn't watched it yet i'm going to leave a spoiler space.

Hope that's enough room. For me the jury is still out, if I'm honest I only watched it for the cameo's of RDA AT and MS, which were over if you blinked!
One thing I did notice was just how much RDA seems to have let himself go... was it my telly or did he look a lot more chubby than when we last saw him in Continum? If the next SG1 is going to centre on Jack's character, RDA will have a lot of work to do in order to get him looking like the Jack that we know and love, but having said that it was still nice to see him, even if his usual sarcasm was lacking.
I thought the whole tape session with Daniel was lame, almost looked like they couldn't get the actor into the studio. I kinda understand the reason behind it, but it would have been nice to see Daniel in the flesh so to speak, would have been great to have all three of them interacting with Eli in the conference room, boy that young man's head would have felt like exploding if that had happened.
AT cameo was brief, but I kinda liked it, even though I thought that naming the ship after Gen Hammond didn't quite sound right considering all the other ships in the fleet are named after things from ancient legends. ( Having said that Gen Hammond and Don S Davis were legends in their own right).
As for the characters and the new show... well I'm not quite sure right now. It feels like it's not sure if it wants to be Stargate or Star Trek. I'll have to watch some more to make my mind up.
I'd much rather that the original and best had gone on for much longer. Over on this side of the pond we have a show called 'Casualty' about a hospital and its staff that is well into its third decade, pity SG1 couldn't have done the same.
